Kendriya Vidyalaya ONGC, Ankleshwar was founded in the year 1985. It is one of the 871 schools owned by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) New Delhi, an autonomous body under the ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. The school is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi and is miniature India in itself with students from different Socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. It inculcates among the students the feeling of brotherhood has been given the privilege of being one of the SMART Schools of India with enrolment of about 950 students and a staff of 37 fulfilling the needs and striving for excellency.

Computer awareness programme has been made compulsory from Class III itself. You will feel pleasure to see little kids operating computers in the Vidyaiaya computer labs.

To meet the demand of students of Informatics Practices, NEW  computer lab was established in the Vidyalaya during the session 2004-05 and thus we have now separate computer labs for Primary/ secondary and Senior secondary classes having 52 computers in all with internet facility.

During the session, sincere efforts were made for the development of games & sports facilities in the Vidyalaya. Efforts are going on to provide more facilities to the children.

To prepare the students to meet the challenges of life and to develop the qualities of courage and cooperation is one of the important objectives of KVS education. We provide opportunity to our students for adventurous life.

Coming to cultural activities and value education, the very important field for the all round development of the students: to promote and develop qualities of stage fearlessness, honesty, generosity, team work, cooperation-sincere efforts are made by the vidyalaya.

For this purpose, the students of the Vidyalaya are divided into four houses namely Shivaji House, Tagore House, Ashok House and Raman House; In morning assembly, maximum students are provided the opportunity to present the well prepared programmes as per the days assigned to particular classes. Various competitions and programmes like speech, elocution, debates, songs Solo/group, dance competitions and quiz competitions are organized in the Vidyalaya for their growth and development. The Vidyalaya has also provided the opportunity to develop other skills alongwith academic excellency. Students have to opt one of the activities out of Dance, Music, Drawing, paper work, Rangoli, doll making etc.. Thus, no stone is left unturned to develop the personalities of the students who are our future hopes and will take the country great heights of progress and prosperity.

Vidyalaya is endowed with a spacious library with a rich collection of about 1400 books, periodicals, reference books on various subjects and provides reading facility to students and teachers for their academic growth.
